Empowerment Counseling

DVSSP offers both individual empowerment counseling and support groups to victims of domestic violence in the community who are not in need of safe housing.

Individual Empowerment Counseling

Individual empowerment counseling is available to victims in the community who are not in need of safe housing. An appointment can be scheduled with a domestic violence counselor/advocate who can provide support, information, and referrals for issues such as safety planning, housing, and information about domestic violence. Call the office in your county to schedule an appointment.

Community Support Groups

Community support groups are offered for victims of domestic violence whether they are currently in an abusive relationship or have already left one. Parents, children, siblings, or friends directly or indirectly involved in domestic violence are welcome to attend. Support groups are currently offered in the cities of Washington and Monongahela. Call the Washington County office for days, times, and locations.
