Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA (DVSSP) thanks you for your kindness, and for your generosity. We need YOU to help us offer a lifeline of safety to victims of domestic violence and their children.

Bequests

If you would like to help DVSSP continue our mission through long-term planning, a bequest is a wonderful way to provide needed support. Your financial advisor can offer a number of ways to fulfill your specific desire to help DVSSP, either through your will or through a revocable trust. Your financial advisor can assist you in determining if you would like to make a gift of a specific amount, or a gift of a percentage of your estate or a portion of your estate. And, any gift can be restricted to support your specific interest area, or be unrestricted so DVSSP can decide where the gift is most needed. Remembering DVSSP in your will or trust is a wonderful way to insure safety for abuse victims and their children in the future.

Cell Phones

Did you know that your old cell phone – as long as it’s in good working order – can help support services for victims of domestic violence? If you donate your old cell phone to DVSSP, we can delete all your personal information from it and give it to one of our service recipients for emergency use. (All charged cell phones have the capability to dial 911 for emergency assistance, even if there is no telephone service plan attached.) We always keep a supply of old cell phones for distribution in this manner. We send excess cell phones to a program called Shelter Alliance, which in turn donates to DVSSP, helping us provide needed services.
