Community Groups
The Outreach department at DVSSP works hand in hand with the community to raise awareness about domestic violence and the services DVSSP offers to survivors of domestic violence. This includes participating in community events with an information table, participation in local parades, and information presentations for groups wanting to learn about domestic violence.
Community Events
The Outreach department hosts community events and fundraisers to help engage the community in our goal of creating a world where everyone feels safe and respected in their relationships. Community events include our Annual Peace Begins at Home Dinner, our Annual Peace From DV Walk, extensive Domestic Violence Awareness Month events, and spring events to help raise awareness and start the conversation about how we can all work together to end domestic violence.
Additionally, DVSSP participates in community events, including health fairs, community day events, trunk or treats, and anywhere else people come together to celebrate their communities!
