On Saturday, September 13, DVSSP hosted its 10th annual Peace from DV Walk at the Church of the Covenant in Washington. With sunshine, blue skies, and a spirit of unity, the community came together to raise awareness about domestic violence and show support for survivors.

Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania (DVSSP) strongly condemns President Trump’s recent comments suggesting that domestic violence is simply “a little fight with the wife.” These remarks, made in the context of dismissing federal crime statistics, dangerously minimize the reality of abuse and undermine the voices of survivors.

DVSSP’s annual Bowling Night, held Friday, June 20 at Yough Lanes in Connellsville, was a smashing success—raising more than $2,500 to support survivors of domestic violence in Fayette County and beyond.

DVSSP’s second annual Trivia Night, held Friday, May 2 at The Way Community Center of Greene County, brought together fun-loving competitors, generous sponsors, and dedicated supporters to raise funds and awareness for survivors of domestic violence.

Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania (DVSSP) celebrates the passage of Pennsylvania’s Protection from Abuse Act 146 to expand protections to include companion animals.

Range’s women’s employee resource group, RENEW, made the holidays brighter for DVSSP's incoming clients. As part of a three-year partnership, RENEW committed to helping transform DVSSP’s Washington safe house, which serves as a place of refuge for those fleeing domestic violence.
